Crosman Classic 2100 Multi Pump Air Rifle

The Crosman Classic 2100 (Check Price) is often referred to as simply the Classic or the 2100.  No matter what you call it, this variable pump air rifle from Crosman is worth taking a closer look.

The Crosman Classic 2100 is often compared to the Crosman Pumpmaster 760 and for good reason. The overall look and feel of the 2100 is strikingly similar to that of the 760, but the 2100 is bigger, stronger, and more versatile.  Like the 760 (and all of the Crosman Air Rifles), the 2100 can be used for Target Shooting or simple back yard plinking, but the 2100 also packs enough punch to be used for small and large pest control.  For this, shooters may want to consider using Crosman Field Hunting Pellets which are designed for better performance.

There are two versions Crosman Classic 2100 available for purchase. The Model 2100 is purchased without a scope. The 2104X is purchased with a Crosman 0410 Target Finder Scope.

Crosman Classic 2100 / 2104X History, Specifications, Specs, and Information

The original 2100 was introduced in 1983 and sold until 2010 until Crosman released the model 2100B and added the option to buy the 2100 with a introductory scope as the the model 2104X which includes a Crosman 0410 Targetfinder. Today the 2100B goes for $62.99 and the 2104X at $72.59 plus shipping on the Crosman.com website.  Purchases made directly from Amazon.com can qualify for free super saver shipping.

The overall look, feel, and performance of the Crosman Classic has not changed much since it was originally released, but the new model number does indicate that Crosman has made some adjustments to the air gun. Usually, this means that Crosman has made improvements to the air gun, and the most noticeable change for a shooter between the original 2100 and the 2100B is the change from a standard front sight to a fiber optic front sight.  The 2100 still shoots that same caliber ammunition at the same velocities.
